Letters to Professors That Will Make Sense Later Tonight

Pre-note: I’ve been kicking ass all morning, so much to write about, a ton of emails to write tonight…anyway (because I don’t feel like opening up word on this computer):

Dear _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ,

I hope this letter finds you well. I know I haven’t been in touch recently (though it was great to see you last August when I was in Buffalo) – it’s been a hectic time. Right now I’m still working in Foreign Relations but I’m preparing to enter a Masters Degree program (M.A. in Cultural Studies) next February. Right now I’m attempting to get all of my paperwork done so that when I’m ready to apply the process will be as painless as possible.

I would be incredibly thankful if you would consider writing three letters of recommendation
for me. One specific to the program that I’m applying for, one as a general letter of recommendation (who am I as a person and as a student in general), and one as a letter of recommendation that would be suitable to use with an employer that’s academic in nature (museum, library, research institutation, etc).

I’ll be in New York & Buffalo during June 26 through July 10 so I hope to see you if you’ll be around.

Information you may need for writing the letters of recommendation can be found below (and my CV can be found attached):

Just so you don’t have to go back through your paperwork I took ART250 with you (Digital Media & Design) and I was a lab monitor for you twice during this same time period. I would appreciate my name being written as such Matthew L. Schwartz (Matan Ar’ye Schwartz) given my two different legal names.

If you require any other information from me please don’t hesitate to contact me and let me know what you require.

I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you’re staying warm. I’ll send some sunshine from Tel Aviv.

Best,

Matthew L. Schwartz
