Quick Update…full update after sleep

Subject: Quick Update…full update after sleep

I really don’t mean to be a slacker with this blog but I just want to do the end of summer wrap up and the entry about carrie’s wedding properly (which means after sleep tomorrow). Though I’m happy to say that since the new laptop has a webcam built in, you can now video chat with me on YM and AIM and if you don’t have a camera, you can still see me =P

Anyways, in good news, the hot mohawk sporting jock is in my class next semester. Now before you think I’m a stalker (which, perhaps in other situations I am) the prof. announced who was in his class next semester before our exam today. However, he’s shown essentially no interest since I went up to him during break and asked if he was gay and wanted to go dancing so who know; maybe he has a boyfriend in which case, I’m no home-wrecker, either way his loss.

I leave for NYC tonight which means that starting at around noon I need to do Laundry and take care of those last minute things before I leave.

Subject: And nothing like an Exam to make you feel better

Location: University Heights, Buffalo, New York

I rocked the exam…this is very good. Plus he drops the lowest quiz grade, I get extra credit for bringing in music with transcription and I wrote a 3 page paper on the languages of Panama before class which also broght me in 7 extra credit points (he complained slightly of spelling and grammar…there was one spelling mistake, in that I left off an S and had to hand write it in…such is life so now I just have to find my Swahili homework (no, I don’t speak it, no I don’t study it, but bless Typology, I can damn well do homework on it) and scan it in and email it to him…but first, I really need dinner.

In other news, I’m finally able to pull my backup drive to my hard drive (since I can now, once again, use a firewire drive) so I didn’t loose all of my photo work which makes me incredibly happy. I’ll have to scale it down tomorrow and upload it to LJ.

In other news Do Laundry & Pack…I fly to NYC tomorrow night for three weeks (well two weeks there and one week in Florida).

A real update soon…as in…tonight…just as soon as I’ve taken care of the above three things. Oh and I have to write an action plan for something else…it’ll all be in the big post.

Anyways, time to make like my ancestors and forrage for food.

Location: Lockwood Library, University at Buffalo, Buffalo, New York, USA

Wow, what a day.

First, I’m back with Mac…I was tired of not being able to run the linguistics software I wanted to (and considering my department uses Mac’s for everything, it’s a wise choice). Secondly I have my final exam in 6 hours 20 minutes and a final quiz in five hours and twenty minutes and then I’m done for this summer session…I think I’ll get a B but we’ll see…I’m not too cocky about this one.

I got to speak in Arabic this morning to a cab driver…that was fun, most of them here only speak English and the majority in NYC speak Urdu.

Anyways, Final Quiz and Exam, then Laundry, then getting ready to leave for NYC Tomorrow for three weeks (though technically, one of those weeks will be spent in Florida helping my Grandmother move into an assisted living residence).

Lots to update on, including the Wedding. Poppy, I have stuff to share with you when next we’re on-line.

Was AWESOME!

I’ll do a real post when I’m not tired, god there’s so much to go over.

Carrie was so, so beautiful, Stephen so handsome…The whole Bridal Party was Gorgeous…now to edit photos for a week and send them to her on a CD.

Oh, and I’m totally in love with a Canadian Boy named George who went to high school with Carrie…and while George doesn’t know it yet, we’re totally getting married…in Canada…because then, I’d get Canadian Citizenship…and be married to George…who I have a crush on hardcore.

Sorry Buffalo Boys…Eli, Kuper, Goldberg…you’ve all been replaced as previous and former crushes…I’m marrying George of course, assuming he’s Gay or a Straight Guy who wants to have sex with a Gay Guy or at least Bi…and of course, barring all of that…single.

Liz called the guy in the glasses, we don’t know his name yet though (we’ll bug carrie after she gets a few weeks rest AFTER her week in Aruba and gets herself situated back home a wedding and a vacation are tiring)…maybe we’ll have it on the same weekend, Liz can have hers on saturday, I’ll have mine on sunday or vice versa…that way everyone doesn’t have to travel twice.
