My day started out at 7:30am, I was at the hospital at 9:40AM and I left at around 7:00PM. Mom’s surgery went exactly as planned and she’s spending the night over there for pain management. I thank you all for your kind wishes (on and off LJ/on and off line). I have a lot to say, just not right now…so I’ll provide some eye candy:

My day started out at 7:30am, I was at the hospital at 9:40AM and I left at around 7:00PM. Mom’s surgery went exactly as planned and she’s spending the night over there for pain management. I thank you all for your kind wishes (on and off LJ/on and off line). I have a lot to say, just not right now…so I’ll provide some eye candy:
Subject: Getting Ready to Take Mom to the Hospital

My Mom’s having hand surgery today; they’re replacing missing cartilage in her hand with a tendon from her arm, and then attempting to re-attach another tendon to make sure the muscle doesn’t atrophy (though the doctor said Mom had wussy tendons, we’re hoping they’ll be able to do things right, well…obviously). Apparently her doctor changed his mind and she WILL be spending the night at the Hospital, but she’s really the easiest patient ever…she has Fibromyalgia and Narcolepsy…so she’ll just sleep through it.
So I need to go finish packing my bag (notepad, game boy, bottle of water…check) and printing directions to the hospital, she needs to be there at 9:45 and were leaving here at 9:00.
And my stomach is now, jumping loops! Oh boy.
Okay, I need to get dressed, catch up with everyone soon.
